Poetry Resources

You will be looking for two types of information as you work your way through the three assignments in the poetry portfolio;

1. the original poems of the poet you choose (found in poetry collections, databases and sometimes on the web)

2. critical essays, books and/or articles about the poems you choose. You might want to read some biographical essays about your poet, but this is not what is required to complete the literary analysis section of your portfolio! You will need to know what the critics say about the poems you choose.

Each of you will find the information you need in different sources, depending upon the poet you choose. Don't worry, you can do this! If you need a refresher on the library resources, ask Mrs. Rickert-Wilbur.
