4th Grade Summer 2008 Reading List 

 

Welcome to 4th grade! During the coming year, the main focus of the curriculum will be learning about different cultures and countries. The following book,

 

Each incoming student is required to select FIVE BOOKS from the list below. We ask that you select novels that reflect at least THREE DIFFERENT REGIONS. During the first week of school, we will discuss some of your choices. All of the books on the list complement the intearnational focus of our social studies units.

These books are available in paperback from bookstores, online, or your public library. The school does not provide summer reading books.

FOURTH GRADE SUMMER READING REQUIREMENTS

  1. Select any FIVE books from the list below.
  2. Record the title, author, region of the book as well as the date you finish the book.
  3. Have an adult initial on completion of each book.
  4. Record any addtional reading on the on the sheet. Any chapter book may be used for additional reading.
  5. Bring both the list and the reading log to shool with you on the first day in September and give them to your new homeroom teacher
