What's New at the Edith Hamilton Library?

 

Each month during the school year we post the new book titles on the library website. This is the list for the month of March

April is National Poetry Month

Do you have a favorite poem? Bring or send a copy to the library and we'll post it. Stay tuned for more National Poetry Month Activities.

Judge a Book by Its Cover

The next time you're in the Howell Building be sure to take a look at "Judge a Book by Its Cover", an exhibit featuring the work of Ms. Baranowski's Design Concepts class. Each student picked one of her favorite books and designed an original cover for it. The finished products are amazing!. Congratulations to Ms. Baranowski's students, and thanks for letting us enjoy your work. The display is just outside the library door.

Summer reading nominations

The deadline for submitting summer book nominations is April 18th. Here are the simple critera your book should meet:

Nominated summer reading books should:

 

                        be appropriate for incoming ninth through 12th graders

                        be well-written
           
                        have the possibility to spark discussion

                        stimulate personal reflection and be intellectually engaging

                        be a book that you love and want to share with the Bryn Mawr Community.
